This tire handles well on Dry pavement, Wet pavement and light-snow weather conditions. I am not sure about ice. It also handles well in muddy conditions too when I dealt with dirt roads (Camping), but I can not attest to off-road conditions, since I currently have a two-wheel drive. This tire is loud, because you can hear this tire coming from about half a block away when wet or dry. I keep tabs on my tire wear and tire presure for safety and try to get maximum wear and mpg performance. I have kept up to date on balance and tire rotation cycles. This tire has worn evenly, and I would recommend this tire to anybody, because of the wear, traction and lower end price scale. This tire was a good starter tire (original set) mounted by the Chrevrolet company. I rated this tire as 4 stars, and maybe should be rated higher, since they are considered all terain tires; but for me they are loud for a family style vehicle. When I keep the windows up, then I would give this tire a 5. I have a 1/16 inch tread-wear left to the tread marker. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give this tire a rating of 5 or 6 on the noise level scale. Originally, this tire was rated as a 60,000 mile tire. It will be close.
