Car is actually a Lotus Elise (2000 lbs), but there wasn't that car on the list. I track the car around So Cal and I find they perform very well through about 12-15 heat cycles as long as the temps are not too hot outside. When it get over 90F ambient they wear very quickly - maybe lasting two track days as apposed to 4 track days on the Yokohama A048 which I used to run. During cooler seasons I get three to four track days and heat cylcing is really not a significant issue. They don't have much grip once the tread is gone. I've heard they do better in hot conditions with heat cylcing and shaving, which I have not done. They don't squirm much without shaving. They peak in performance on their second session IMO. Performance I would say is slightly better than the Yoko A048 all around but they wear faster. The tire gets slick around 220F where the Yokos are really at their prime. I would say use the R888 during the cooler seasons and A048's in the summer if temps are very hot unless you can afford to change tires more often.
