These tires have been great to me. Hydroplaning resistance is great, I haven't been able to hydroplane them down to 3/32. Dry traction is good. at the dragstrip they liked to be heated up pretty good for launching, and it was easy to launch and control the spin. They handled well in the turns. I went through some hilly curvy roads a few times and these suckers are great! Other than some chunking on the edge of the tread they respond well.
The Bad - At the end of their life they were noisy. they wonder big time on crowned roads.
Tthe front tires are still the original tires I bought 3 years ago and are almost at the wear bars. Iin the back are brand new replacements I bought a year and a half ago. I bought the original 4 245/45/17s for 107 each. the other 2 i bought for 150 new on ebay. I
don't really want to spend 300 on two 255/45/17s. Its too bad kumho is cutting back production on the mx. I guess I'll have to burn off the two on the back now. Shame. My next tires will either be Kumho xs, Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport or General Exclaim UHP. I did drive on the generals before at a race event for continental/general tires in texas. We were on a wet pad and those tires were just awesome, I was even able to make them squeel in standing water. They are not the best choice for the dry though. They are too cheap to not consider.
