Drawing inspiration from rally tire design, Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2. tires were created for consumers who demand precise and responsive handling in both wet and dry conditions.
Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 tires feature LMA™ (Life Maximized Adherence™) tread compounding, a feature inspired by rally competition. LMA is a tread compound that has been street-optimized for predictable handling, sustained levels of grip, and improved traction throughout the tire’s life, making this tire an excellent choice for owners of sport compact and tuner cars.

Tire Construction
- Two high-tensile, lightweight steel cord belts that are further reinforced by size-optimized BAZ Technology™ (spiral-wrapped nylon Banded At Zero degrees to tire rotation)
- An acoustically tuned asymmetrical tread pattern
- A rally-inspired design
- VCP (Variable Contact Patch), which maximizes contact patch area and puts “more rubber on the road”
- A street-optimized tread compound called LMA (Life Maximized Adherence)
- Ultra-reinforced sidewalls and lightweight rim protectors
- An asymmetrical tread design that features more grooves for water evacuation on the inside shoulder and massive tread blocks
